How Ambiance Works

Have you ever wanted to sync your iPhone, iPad or iPod with Hue lights? If you own a jailbroken device, you are in luck as a new jailbreak tweak by developer Ziph0n lets you do just that.

Ambiance Cydia tweak bridges the gap between your iOS device and Philips Hue lights. It allows you to change the color of Hue lights depending on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

This brings your ambient environment alive and makes you experience surreal.

There are two different “color” modes available in Ambiance –

• Music Mode – Color will change according to the album art of the now playing song.
• Screen Mode – Color will change according to your screen.

You can configure various options via its Settings section. Ambiance even includes an Activator action. It allows you automatically switch your lights on or off whenever you want to.

If you already own Hue lights and would like to experience them with a new twist, get this tweak. If you don’t own them, this tweak gives you yet another reason to purchase them. Recommended.

It is compatible only with Philips smart lights, not of other manufacturers such as Playbulb or Satechi.

Ambiance is available for download on BigBoss Cydia repo for $0.99. It is compatible with iOS 9 and 10.
