Another day, another tweak. This new tweak aims to make Safari much more “cleaner” than before. Here’s how it works.

How HeckNewTabs works

HeckNewTabs Cydia tweak completely disables the “New Tab” and “Tab Overview” options in Safari web browser. It is developed by tweak developer NeinZedd9.

With this tweak, you will no longer be able to open a new tab in Safari. Here’s how it looks like in action.

This is yet another “we do it because we can” tweak. It actually serves no purpose. However, it might come in handy for those who of you who use Safari Downloader.

Enabling this tweak will prevent you from accidentally pressing the new tab button.

Once you install it, you can configure its options from the Settings section. I highly suggest you disable the “Disable Tab Overview button in Safari”.

This will at least let you go back to previous tabs and continue your web browsing session.

HeckNewTabs is available for download on BigBoss Cydia repo for free. It is compatible with iOS 9 and 10.
