Another day, another tweak. This tweak aims to bring a nice effect that is often present in websites to iOS. Here’s how it works.

How BlinkBadge works

There are many tweaks that enhance the vanilla notification badges in iOS. However, none of them quite works like this new tweak.

BlinkBadge Cydia tweak adds a blinking effect to the notification badges of your applications. It is developed by eminent tweak developer NeinZedd9.

This allows you to stay cognizant of pending notifications. If you are always on-the-go, you will surely derive benefit from it.

Once you install it, you can change its configuration from the Settings section.

Here’s the list of all its animation effects.

• Blink 
• Bounce 
• Spin 
• Wiggle

There’s also an option that lets you to set the duration of the various animation effects. By default, this value is set to 0.7 seconds, which, according to me, is perfect.

All in all, it’s a cool new effect that a lot of people would find interesting. Recommended.

It works absolutely flawlessly on my iPad mini running iOS 9.3.5. So don’t hesitate to try it out on iOS 9 firmware. Also, don’t forget to send a donation to the developer as this tweak is as good as a paid one.

BlinkBadge is available for download on BigBoss Cydia repo for free. It is compatible with iOS 9 and 10.
