Developer Jay Freeman has been regularly updating Cydia for iOS 10. The latest version offers improved stability and performance for iOS 10. However, this doesn’t stop users from experiencing the occasional Cydia error.
Today we will be learning how to fix the Depends iOS Firmware >=10.0 Cydia error on Yalu jailbreak. Since many users were reporting this error, I decided to create a proper tutorial for fixing it once and for all.
Here’s what this error looks like.
Fix “Depends iOS Firmware >=10.0” Cydia Error [TUTORIAL]
Step 1 Open Filza File Manager on your iOS device.
Step 2 Navigate to this location – /var/lib/dpkg.
Step 3 Open the status file. (Make a backup)
Step 4 Look for Packages: firmware.
Step 5 Change the firmware Version to the iOS version of your device. In the example shown above, you would need to change 9.3.2 to your current firmware version that is 10.1.1 or 10.2.
Step 6 Respring.
Cydia is finally stable and compatible with iOS 10 but the tweaks can somehow wreck your device. The only way to stay safe is to install them one by one.

Although I’ve changed the version to 10.1.1, I still have the error. in addition, the wrong version of mobile substrate installs whenever I install a new tweak, because my phone thinks it is on iOS 6. This results in substrate not functioning at all. Although in the status file, my firmware reflects 10.1.1 permanently, in lib>cydia>firmware.ver the contents revert to 6 every time I run the installer.
Hello, Trevor. Have you tried updating Cydia manually?
I cant find “Lib” in Var, please help
Hello, Aidan. Can you send me a screenshot, if possible.

I suggest you use Yalufix or any other modified Yalu IPA and then report back.
Where can I find them?

Thanks! it worked! but im getting dpkg locked or somthing
That’s great. That’s strange because Yalufix is supposed to fix that error as well. You can choose any of the options below.
1. You can manually fix it, read this – https://yalujailbreak.net/dpkg-locked-cydia-fix/
2. You can use Yaluspace to reinstall Cydia completely – https://yalujailbreak.net/yaluspace-jailbreak/ (relatively easier)
Do i have to or is it okay to leave?
Yes, you should try to fix it.
Okay
Hey ever since I downloaded YaluFix wen I restart/Turn off my phone I have had to reinstall all tweaks! Can you help?
Hello, Aidan. Might I suggest you use Blueyalu and reinstall Cydia completely or try using SemiRestore10?
I have been told to install tweak substrate fix and I’m not sure. I tried downloading YaluBlue and it didn’t make a difference
Did you go back to the original Yalu?
Is YaluSpace on iphone 7’s?
No, it’s only for devices supported by Yalu102.
