iPhone 7/7 Plus Camera Not Working [BLACK SCREEN FIX]

Many users are reporting a camera freeze on iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. Pretty much every device has its share of problems when it comes out. You can be thankful it’s not exploding.

These new generation devices from Apple were unveiled in September last year. Even they suffer from a serious flaw that renders the Camera useless as you experience random freezes.

When you launch the camera from the lock screen or directly through an app instead of the camera, the image appears blurry picture or you get a black screen. At the same time you can not even press the shutter button, which would create a new image.

Here’s a video of what it looks like.

So far, there’s no permanent solution for this problem. Here are a few fixes you can try.

Fix 2

Close every app that is running by double tapping the Home button including the Camera app. When you have too many apps running, it can cause issues with the Camera.

Fix 3

Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera. If you have any apps that are using the camera, disable them by tapping on them. When you have 3rd party apps that interfere  with the camera, it can issues with the Camera.

Fix 4

Update your iPhone 7 and 7 Plus’ firmware to the latest version. This will ensure that any bugs or glitches are fixed.

Fix 5

Use the Reset all Settings option. Don’t use the Erase all Content and Settings  option obviously.

Fix 6

Apply a reasonable amount of pressure only around the camera. Afterwards, restart it. This sounds weird but it works for some people. So give it a go.

Fix 7

Perform a restore with iTunes.

It is possible that Apple will fix this issue in the future iterations of iOS firmware. If you are still experiencing issues, it is recommended to get your device replaced by your vendor.
