Another day, another tweak. Classic tweak GuestMode has just been updated for iOS 10. Let’s find out what’s new in this update.

How GuestMode 2 Works

Admit it, we have to wrest control of our iOS device to let kids play a game or a friend play music. There is no way to get this feature on vanilla iOS 10.

This is where GuestMode Cydia tweak comes in.

GuestMode 2 (iOS 10) allows you to grant users restricted access to your device. It does this while protecting your device and keeping it secure.

Feel free to pass your iOS device to anyone without having to fear of getting your data stolen or tampered with.

You can restrict access to any application you want. This tweak can block photos, messages, videos, Safari, e-mail, etc. As of now, it doesn’t have the capability to block Cydia tweaks.

You can access guest mode in the following ways –

• Guest button on lock screen
• Guest Passcode
• Incorrect Passcode
• Use Time as Guest Passcode
• Activator gesture
• MacOS-style login

Once installed, you can tweak various aspects of this tweak from the Settings area.

This feature has been available on desktops for as long as I can remember. It’s good to see it implemented on iOS too.

GuestMode 2 (iOS 10) is available for download on BigBoss Cydia repo. It is compatible with iOS 10 only.
