What’s new in the sixth-generation iPad?
The new 9.7-inch iPad boasts of the powerful Apple A10 Fusion processor, which is also present in iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus.
The 2017 iPad model came with A9 chip so the A10 Fusion is a solid upgrade in terms of processing power.
The A10 Fusion chip will allow it to run the demanding iOS 11 and even the upcoming iOS 12 firmware.
As far as cameras are concerned, Apple has kept it simple with a 1.2-megapixel front camera and an 8-megapixel rear camera with 1080p HD recording capability.
Design and aesthetics
The sixth-generation tablet follows the tried-and-tested iPad Pro design. It comes with a 9.7-inch retina display, just like its predecessor. Touch ID and physical Home button are still there.
This model comes in silver, gold, and space gray colors.
This new model comes with full Apple Pencil and keyboard support. Other standard components like the gyroscope, compass, Apple Pay, and GPS system are also present.
