Download iOS 12.1.1 Beta 2 without developer account

Apple recently seeded the fourth beta version of iOS 12.1.1 firmware. Here’s how you can download this update on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod below.

What’s new in iOS 12.1.1 Beta 2?

iOS 12.1.1 Beta 2, the latest iteration of iOS 12.1.1, weighs around 300MB on all compatible devices. Its build number is 16C5043b.

Just like previous beta updates, Beta 2 focuses on bug fixes and improvements. Apart from that, it also brings a minor new feature.

Beginning from now, all publicly-trusted Transport Layer Security authentication certificates issued after October 15 must meet the Certificate Transparency policy to be evaluated as “trusted” on Apple devices.

Per Apple’s release notes for this beta seed, you may be unable to select the voice for VoiceOver from the Settings after upgrading your device. To fix this issue, delete or download any voice from Settings > General > Accessibility > Speech > Voices.

Unfortunately, LTE connectivity issues remain without a fix and continue to plague users even in this update.

For registered developers, this update is available for download on the Apple Developer Center. As far as average users go, they can use the public beta profile or use the IPSW firmware links given below.

Should you update?

This is a minor update and, hence, you will not lose out on anything should you decide to stick with your current firmware version.

The only update you should watch out for is the one that will fix cellular connectivity issues.

I also highly recommend you stay on iOS 12.0.1 and below if you want to jailbreak your Apple device in the future.
