Download iOS 12.1 Beta 4 without developer account

Apple has just seeded the fourth developer beta for iOS 12.1 to registered developers. Here’s how you can download and install this update on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

What’s new in iOS 12.1 Developer Beta 4?

iOS 12.1 Developer Beta 4 weighs around 200-250MB on all compatible devices and its build number is 16B5084a.

Surprisingly, there are no release notes for this update, which suggests not a lot has changed in this version.

According to early adopters, the frame rate drop in the lock screen that caused all animations to feel sluggish is fixed. Further, issues pertaining to the Control Center and Notification Center are fixed as well.

Unfortunately, WiFi and cellular signal disconnecting are still present in this version.

Developers can get this update from Apple Developer Center. However, if you aren’t enrolled in Apple’s developer program, you can download this update using the links below.

As opposed to previous betas, Developer Beta 4 fixes several annoying bugs that were present in its predecessor – iOS 12.1 Beta 3.

Sure, those are minor bugs and you can fix them with a hard. However, that only fixes the issue temporarily. The lag will eventually return and you will then need to do another hard reboot to fix it.

My advice is to update your Apple device as soon as possible. And if that’s not possible, you can wait for Apple to release the public version tomorrow.
