What’s new in iOS 11.1.1?
iOS 11.1.1 focuses on fixing the auto-correct and “Hey Siri” bugs that were pestering pretty much all users on iOS 11.1. This is not a major update and brings no improvements apart from the aforementioned bugs.
When typing “I”, iOS predictive text erroneously corrected it as “A [?]”. “I” is used too frequently while messaging and was causing all sorts of problems to the users.
The only way to fix this is to deactivate auto-correct or creating a shortcut on the keyboard.
In earlier versions, Siri stopped responding and ignored the “Hey Siri” command made by the user. This issue has been fixed in this stable build.
Since this is a public release, you can update using iTunes or clean restore using the IPSW files below. You can also use the OTA update feature as it is only a minor update (around 45MB).
