Hacker ijapija00 might be working on iOS 10.2.1 Jailbreak

Luca Todesco announced that after delivering the final version of Yalu for iOS 10.2 he was going to leave the scene.

This raises several questions regarding future of the jailbreak community.

Hacker @ijapija00, the developer behind Yucca Utilities, indicates that his iOS 10 jailbreak exploit still works on the latest iOS 10.2.1 firmware.

This is confirmed by the fact that Apple only closed exploits belonging to Pangu team and Luca Todesco.

Developer ijapija00 had fallen out with Luca Todesco following the release of a package that allows jailbreak to reactivate Substrate with Yalu bypassing the terminal. Luca and Saurik also recommended not to install Yucca Utilities by ijapija00.

YUCCA exploit has not been patched yet

Ijapija00 has just confirmed that exploit for iOS 10.2.1 jailbreak have still not been patched. This gives hope for the release of a future jailbreak tool for future versions of iOS 10.3.

He also posted tweet along with a screenshot to back his tall claims.

YUCCA JAILBREAK is COMPATIBLE WITH IPHONE 7

On December 25, he also posted a video demonstrating iPhone 7 jailbreak on iOS 10.2.1 beta 4. He planned to collaborate with Luca but somehow the two developers are not able to agree.

iOS 10.2.1 was released days ago. It’s only a matter of time before Apple closes the signing window.

If you want to maximize your chances of having a 10.2 jailbreak –

  • Please DO NOT update your device to iOS 10.2.1 firmware.
