Saurik to speak at SpartaHack IV
Saurik is all set to deliver a lecture on iOS 11 jailbreak at SpartaHack hackathon. He will demonstrate the upcoming jailbreak tool along with other details such as current progress, release date, etc.
The old-guard jailbreak member will also talk about Cydia and how closed systems are disadvantageous for a community.
Cydia is an “open system” just like the internet. This is also the main reason behind its massive success within the jailbreak scene.
Plenty of installers came and went but Cydia is still going strong after all these years.
Freeman’s lecture will start at 12:30 after midnight and will continue for a good 4-5 hours. He will also do an in-depth Q&A session with the participants.
Here’s the schedule of the hackathon for Sunday.
For those who don’t know, SpartaHack is the annual hackathon and coding competition of Michigan State University.
It’s a 36-hour event wherein 500 students from different disciplines take part.
What can we expect from SpartaHack IV?
According to their website, Saurik will give a behind the scenes look of the iOS 11 jailbreak. Saurik clarified a while back that Substrate was almost ready for KPPless jailbreak tools.
This lends more credibility to the fact that he is indeed working on a full-fledged jailbreak tool.
Who knows, he might go on to drop a tool at the event. What do you think will happen at this event? Post your comments below.
If you are a student or a recent graduate, you just can’t miss Saurik speaking about an upcoming jailbreak at an event.
