Logitech launches POWERED wireless charging dock for iPhone

Logitech has teamed up with Apple to launch a new accessory for iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus. This new accessory is called “POWERED FOR iPHONE” – a charging dock that will charge your iPhone wirelessly.

Logitech’s new charging dock is aimed towards the current iPhone generation. With a charging power of up to 7.5 watts, it provides enough energy for the wireless charging of iPhones. It is created in collaboration with Apple and is in line with the design language of the company.

Charging starts immediately after the smartphone is standing on the stand. Moreover, the 65° angle of the dock makes unlocking the iPhone X via Face ID a breeze.

POWERED also comes with internal thermal sensors for intelligent temperature control to prevent overheating.

The rubberized surface keeps the iPhone safe in place and also gets along with the vibrating alarm of the iPhone. There is no danger of the smartphone falling out while calling.

You can also use it use with the official leather and silicone cases for iPhone by Apple. Third-party cases with a maximum thickness of three millimeters will not interfere with charging.

Cases made of metal or with magnets on the back, however, are incompatible.

Price and Compatibility

Apart from the iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, POWERED also works with other Qi-enabled smartphones whose dimensions are similar to those of the aforementioned iPhone models. These devices include Samsung Galaxy S9, S8, and S7.

POWERED will make it easier to charge and use the phone at the same time. Many flat chargers put the phone straight down on the table, making it more difficult to use the phone while charging.

With Powered, however, you will be able to place the phone both in portrait or landscape format; for example, to watch a video or type a message while the battery charges.
