iPhone X comes with exclusive Live wallpapers
With the release of iOS 11.2 beta 2, iPhone X users can enjoy “Live Wallpapers” on their new device.
Live wallpaper is an animated wallpaper that activates only when you perform the 3D Touch gesture on your lock screen.
Unsurprisingly, Apple is trying its best to keep iPhone X as exclusive as possible. This means all users who are on older iPhone devices such as iPhone 7 and even iPhone 8 will not be able to enjoy these features.
While this is a good thing for Apple, users who own older devices are certainly not happy with this move.
But since we are jailbreakers, we have got to find a loophole and exploit that to our benefit. Here’s a quick tutorial on how you can get these exclusive live wallpapers onto your iPhone for free.
Remember, you must have a computer or laptop available for immediate use for this tutorial. If you try this procedure with your iPhone, the quality of the live wallpaper won’t be as crisp.
Requirements
- Any iPhone (with or without jailbreak)
- A computer running macOS or Windows
- IntoLive app
- Simple Transfer app
- Internet connection
How to install iPhone 8 Live Wallpapers on your iPhone
Step 1 Start your computer and download the live wallpaper video files from this link. You must right-click on the desired video and select the “Save video as” option.
Step 2Â Extract the contents of the ZIP archive from step 1 and place the video files in a folder.
Step 3 Download the free Simple Transfer app on your iPhone. What this app does is, it allows you to transfer photos and videos from any computer to your iOS device without iTunes, USB cable or other complicated stuff.
Step 4Â Open the app and establish a connection between your device and your computer. Here’s how you can do that –
- Open a web browser application such as Chrome on your computer.

Step 5Â Now press the Upload button on the Simple Transfer interface to start the transfer process.
Step 6Â Select the wallpaper videos you downloaded in step 1 and upload them.
Step 7Â Now download the intoLive application from the App Store. This app allows you to transform a video into a live wallpaper.
Step 8Â Once the app is on your home screen, open it and select the desired video file. Remember, you must give this app all the necessary permissions before you begin creating your wallpaper.
Step 9Â Select the No repeat option.
Step 10 Now press the Save Live Photos option to save it on your camera roll.
Step 11Â Open Photos app and go to the live wallpaper you just created in the above step.

It’s working just fine on my device. You must be doing something wrong I guess.
not working on iPhone SE, live picture not running just still walpaper standart
Hello, Semvak. This method works on all iPhone models. Are you sure you have created a live wallpaper from the video first?
Yes, i have created a live wallpaper from video follow tutorial on from first to las tutorial, but wallpaper still not live. Any other suggestion?
Then I recommend downloading a live wallpaper app from the App Store. These apps will charge you a fee for installing the live wallpapers.
I believe it works on certain iPhone models and up. I’ve got iPhone SE and followed the directions to a T and the picture is a still image at the Lock Screen even though the image is live after creating it from IntoLive app; it works as a live wallpaper here until you assigned it to the Lock Screen.
