Apple releases iOS 11.4.1 Public Beta 4

Apple just seeded the fourth public beta version of iOS 11.4.1. Here’s how you can download this version on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

What’s new in iOS 11.4.1 Beta 4?

The public beta 4 of iOS 11.4.1 doesn’t bring a lot of changes or enhancements apart from the bug fixes. The official release notes don’t mention anything special either.

Although many users are yet to confirm this, this update may fix the black camera issue that plagues all iOS 11.4 devices.

The build number of this version is 15G5074a. Additionally, Apple has also seeded the fourth beta build of macOS 10.13.6 and tvOS 11.4.1 firmware.

This is a public update and, hence, doesn’t require a paid developer or tester account.

The OTA update will appear in the software update section in the Settings app. If you want to download the IPSW firmware file, just wait until they get uploaded to the servers.

Should you upgrade?

If you are on iOS 11.4 or any other newer version, updating to this version may help solve your camera woes.

If your camera is working just fine, you should wait for the third developer beta of iOS 12 that will be released within a few days.

As far as jailbreak users go, you should stay where you are to maximize your chances of getting a jailbreak in the future.
