How Accelerated Home Button Works

There’s a delay when you use the Home button before the currently running app closes.

Apple uses this delay to determine if the user intends to use double press feature to open App Switcher. This is where Accelerated Home Button comes in.

Accelerated Home Button Cydia tweak removes the slight delay experienced while pressing the Home button. This makes accessing the home screen faster and snappier.

It gets rid of the delay in double press action as well. It takes you back to the home screen and then opens App Switcher.

This Cydia tweak is developed by developer Mehul Rao, who is a newcomer on the jailbreak scene.

Accelerated Home Button does not come with a Settings area. It starts working right after you install it. This tweak is compatible with tweaks such as Touchr and Speed Intensifier.

This is like a Home button “on steroids” and above all, it’s free. Highly recommended.
