Whats’ new in WhatsApp 2.18.51?

As reported earlier, you can now play Instagram or Facebook videos in-app.

Previously, users had to watch videos in Safari web browser since native video support for non-existent.

The developers first introduced native support for YouTube back in January and have now extended it to other social networks.

The picture-in-picture mode also allows you to keep the video playing as you browse other chats.

Administrator privileges

Version 2.18.51 also adds improves the group administrator control panel. Group admins will now be able to revoke admin rights of other administrators.

In addition, group admins can now decide who can change the group description, icon, and description.

They can grant permissions to other non-admin users to make the necessary edits.

Download WhatsApp 2.18.51

This version is currently available for download on the App Store for all users. To upgrade, open the official App Store app on your iPhone and tap the ‘Update’ button.

Surprisingly, this version does not fix the infamous “Black dot” text bomb bug that was responsible for crashing a lot of Android smartphones. Hopefully, the next update will address that.

All in all, this is a decent update that users will surely benefit from. I have already updated and it’s your turn now!
