The developer behind LiberTV tvOS 10 jailbreak, Jonathan Levin, is working on on tvOS 10.1.1 jailbreak. Let’s find out more about this upcoming tool.

LiberTV Jailbreak for tvOS 10.1.1 Coming Soon

This is great news for those users who are stuck on tvOS 10.1.1 and can’t use LiberTV jailbreak.

The updated tool will be improved and bring many new fixes for errors experienced by current users.

For those who don’t know, LiberTV is based on Yalu jailbreak’s exploit and works in a rather similar manner.

Just like Yalu jailbreak for iOS 10, LiberTV also comes in the form an IPA package. This IPA file is then sideloaded with Cydia Impactor onto your device.

If you have not yet jailbroken your Apple TV 4, you follow this tutorial to do so.

What Should I do now?   

Apple has also rolled out tvOS 10.2 firmware update for all Apple TV users.

Here’s what you need to do now –

• If you want to jailbreak your Apple TV, DO NOT update to tvOS 10.2.
• You must stay on tvOS 10.1.1 or a lower version if you want this jailbreak.
• If you have already updated to tvOS 10.2, you will not be able to jailbreak.

 

Hopefully, Morpheus will release the jailbreak soon.
