Restoring your Apple device to an unsigned firmware version is not a walk in the park. Here’s a new tool called Staline that will make the restore process way simpler than before.
What is Staline?
Staline is an automatic command line restore utility for Windows. It is developed by legacy developer Hacks4Live.
Upgrading using Future Restore is a complicated process and is, hence, prone to errors. This tool takes the guesswork out of upgrades and downgrades and ensures you focus where you must – tweaking your device.
It downloads almost everything you need for a successful upgrade to your computer. Just run its executable file and you are good to go.
- Version 3 (latest version)
- Version 2
- Version 1
- iPhone or iPad (cellular and Wifi models)
- A computer running Windows
- USB cable
How to use Staline utility on Windows
Step 1 Download the latest version of this tool using the link above. If your antivirus blocks the download, disable it momentarily.
Step 2 Place your SHSH Blob file to the desktop and rename it to blob.shsh2.
Step 3 Place your target IPSW firmware file to the desktop and rename it to target.ipsw. The target version if the firmware you want to upgrade or downgrade to.
Step 4 Once these two files are ready, run the tool. It will now download Nonceset1112 and Cydia Impactor. You must then set your nonce using these tools by following this tutorial.
Step 5 Once you set your nonce, it will download Tihmstar’s FutureRestore tool. The restore process will then commence.
Sit tight and let it do its thing. Once it finishes, your device will be running a jailbreak-able firmware.
