SelectMoji – Custom Emoji Keyboard for iOS

Another day, another tweak. A new Cydia tweak has just been released that allows you to be more flexible with emojis. Here’s how it works.

How SelectMoji Works

Usually, our favorite emojis are often absent from the keyboard. Thankfully, several jailbreak tweaks let you customize the emoji keyboard to your liking. That is where SelectMoji comes in.

SelectMoji Cydia tweak adds your custom emojis to the “Frequently Used” section. It is developed by tweak developer Cole Cabral, with whom ijapija00 had a beef recently.

Here’s how the emoji keyboard looks like after installing this.

There exists a 30-character limit in this tweak. If you don’t exhaust all the 30 characters, the remaining emojis will be from the stock most frequently used section.

The one thing that stands out about SelectMoji is its amazing backwards-compatibility. It offers full support for –

  • iOS 6
  • iOS 7
  • iOS 8
  • iOS 9
  • iOS 10

However, this tweak does come with a caveat on a legacy firmware such as iOS 6. If you have a device running iOS 6, you must first install Emoji10Legacy to prevent any errors with this tweak.

You can configure your own custom emojis from its Settings area.

This tweak is almost an exact copy of FavoriteEmojis Cydia tweak, which offers the same functionality. If for some reason, it doesn’t work for you, you can try this new tweak by Cole Cabral.

According to its developer, SelectMoji hasn’t been selling as well as he would have liked. So, I urge all of you to download it and support the developer.

SelectMoji is available for download on BigBoss Cydia repo for $1.00. It is compatible with iOS 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10.
