Before we begin, I would like to point out that Apple introduced the iPhone 7 Plus back in September 2016 while Galaxy S8 is yet to be released.

Samsung Galaxy S8 vs iPhone 7 Plus – Speed Comparison
In total, 17 applications were tested to gauge performance.

- Games – Asphalt 8, Minecraft, Super Mario Run, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Zynga Poker
- Services – Soundcloud, Yelp, Netflix, Uber, Photoshop
Finally, a four-minute video in 4K resolution was exported. It’s here that we realize what a beastly device the iPhone 7 plus really is. It completes the task almost twice as fast as compared to Galaxy S8.
In other tasks too, the iPhone 7 plus had the upper hand and absolutely dominated the Samsung Galaxy S8.
When running heavier applications, iPhone 7 plus is definitely faster. However, for lighter apps, there is virtually no difference.
In the single-core test, the iPhone 7 Plus clearly races past S8. In the multi-core comparison, both devices offer similar performance.
The winner is iPhone 7 plus. iPhone 7 plus clearly shows why it’s the best smartphone on the planet.
Apple’s extreme optimization and solid integration of software and hardware has clearly paid off in the end. Its A10 chip performs even better than the latest Snapdragon 835 processor.
Samsung Galaxy S8 still offers performance from 2016. It is still slower than iPhone even with superior hardware.
What remains to be seen is how Galaxy S8 stacks up against its real competitor – the upcoming iPhone 8.
