As Saurik is yet to come out of hibernation, many jailbreak developers are now taking matters into their own hands. Here’s the latest development regarding Meridian jailbreak.

Substitute is functional on iOS 10-10.3.3
As you already know, eminent jailbreak developer, Ben Sparkes, announced a Substitute port for iOS 10 a few days back.
After a brief period of just two days, Substitute is now fully functional on Meridian jailbreak. For those who don’t know
Here’s a screenshot by developer FoxletFox that proves that you can now install Cydia and packages on iOS 10 firmware.
Apart from that, Ben Sparkes also uploaded a screenshot demonstrating Cylinder and its preferences section on his device.
Although he didn’t provide further details, it suggests that Springboard tweaks are already functional to a great extent.
This scenario is akin to Electra development toolkit for iOS 11-11.1.2 firmware. Once Sparkes pushes an update, it will not take long for the users to install tweaks on their Apple devices.
Can you run jailbreak tweaks yet?
A few jailbreak tweaks such as Cylinder and Battery Life are already working on iOS 10.3.3.
However, you can’t install them yet on your device as Meridian is yet to receive a proper update.
Only a select few developers have access to the Substitute build and are currently busy testing tweaks on it.
The installation process will apparently remain the same just as it is with Electra jailbreak.
But since Meridian comes with Cydia, the hassle to manually install tweaks will simply not bug users anymore.
If you are using g0blin jailbreak, you can safely update to this jailbreak tool once Ben rolls out the new version. I will also upload a full compatibility list very soon.
