Jumper – Customize quick launch icons on your lock screen

Another day, another tweak. Jumper aims to bring interesting new icons straight to your lock screen. Download this tweak for your iPhone or iPad below.

How Jumper works

The vanilla iOS 11 operating system comes with two quick launch icons – flashlight and camera. But how often do you turn on your flashlight straight from your lock screen?

Wouldn’t it be better if iOS allowed you add quick launch icons for, say, WhatsApp or Snapchat? This is where this new tweak comes in.

Jumper Cydia tweak allows you to customize the stock quick launch icons on your lock screen. It is developed by tweak developer Neo Ighodaro.

Here’s how this tweak looks like in action. I have changed the stock icons with apps that I regularly use – WhatsApp and Snapchat.

You can add your own icons from its preferences section. Firstly, enable the tweak and add custom shortcuts from the list of supported applications.

Remember, you can only add shortcuts for a select few supported applications as of now. The number of supported apps, however, is quite large and keeps all the important ones covered.

Here’s my setup –

  • First Shortcut – WhatsApp
  • Second shortcut – Snapchat
  • Use Styled Icons (on) – Makes the shortcut icons look like the stock flashlight and camera icons. You can disable this option to use the original app icon.

Once you add your own custom quick launch icons, use force touch to open the desired app.

This tweak blends in so well with the stock iOS 11 look, I totally forgot I was using a jailbreak tweak.

If you are looking for a useful lock screen tweak, go ahead and install it. Highly recommended.

Jumper is available for download on TapSharp repository (https://cydia.tapsharp.com/) for free. It is compatible with iOS 11.
