Does iPhone X support sideloading?
Surprisingly and fortunately, iPhone X supports sideloading. You can use it with all existing apps, tools, and services.
Even Cydia Impactor works out of the box without any further updates. This certainly speaks volumes about the programming skills of Jay Freeman aka Saurik.
This suggests that not much has changed in Apple’s current smartphone lineup and even the latest ones rely on older methods.
Here’s how you can sideload and install applications, games, emulators, etc on your iPhone X.
This tutorial works with all versions of the iOS 11 firmware, including the latest iOS 11.1.1 build.
How to sideload apps on iPhone X
1. Cydia Impactor
Using Cydia Impactor is the conventional way to sideload apps on Apple devices. Here’s how you can install apps using Cydia Impactor utility.
- Grab the necessary IPA file of the app you wish to install.
- Download Cydia Impactor from here and run it.
- Drag the IPA file in Cydia Impactor’s window.
- Enter your Apple ID details.
- That’s all you need to do and just wait for it to sign and install the app on your device.
- Remember, you will need to resign the apps you install after a period of 7 days. This limitation can only be bypassed by purchasing a paid developer certificate from Apple. You can read more about it here.
Some users are also reporting lockdown.cpp:57 error while using Impactor. If you are experiencing the same, I suggest using the methods given below.
2. Package Installers
iOS package installers such as Tutuapp, Appvalley, and Cyrus Installer are fully compatible with iPhone X.
Here are a few tutorials you can use to install these on your device.
- AppCentral – Hacked Tweaks and Apps from multiple Installers
- Cyrus Installer – Get Cydia Tweaks without Jailbreak

3. Signing services
Paid signing services such as AppDB or Sideload.me also work like package installers. However, the main point of difference between installers and signing services is the frequency of certificate revokes.
Installers get their certificates revoked after almost every 2 or 3 weeks whereas paid signing services hold out for much longer.
They also allow you to upload your own IPA files and then sign them for a modest fee.
If you are someone who cares about stability and certificate revokes, get hold of a paid signing service.
How will you be sideloading?
Just like everything else, the paid services are your best bet provided you are willing to part with ten or twenty dollars per year.
If you are looking for a free alternative, I suggest going for hacked installers.
There are a few other methods for sideloading as well but they are complicated and require prior setup. Therefore, the above methods are the only ones you will need for your iPhone X.

I was trying to install Animoji Studio. Is it possible to install TutuApp first (i have it already), put the ipa in the download folder of TuTuApp and install it from there? If yes, how can I locate the download folder?
No, that’s not possible.
Ok, many thanks 😉
No problem, mate.
So in this way I could have 2 whatsapp on iPhone X? If yes, where can i find the ipa? 🙂
I will update the links wait.
