3 Reasons why iPhone X is selling like Free Crack

Each year, Apple’s flagship device sells out within hours but things seem to be different this time around. iPhone X is breaking all records set by its predecessors, here’s why.

Yesterday, Apple opened up the pre-orders for its flagship device, iPhone X in 55 countries. The smartphone sold out within 30 minutes indicating that the hype is, indeed, real.

This device has been so successful, Apple is all set to break its previous records by selling 262 million units in 2017.

Why is iPhone X selling like crazy?

Complete Reboot

iPhone X is a complete reboot in terms of technology and design. The new design of this smartphone marks a departure from the standard iPhone design Apple has been employing since 2014.

iPhone X features a powerful processor, nice camera, Apple’s time-tested mobile operating system and a 5.8-inch edge-to-edge OLED display, the largest ever in an iPhone.

Just think about it, iPhone X looks nothing like any other previous iPhone. The excitement to purchase something “new” is driving the users crazy.

Insane hype

Apple made sure iPhone X was hyped up enough before they launched it formally.

Leaked photos of iPhone X components were flying around the internet since 2016. Whether or not this was intentional, I will leave that to you.

Everyone was waiting eagerly to know how the iPhone X will look like and the new features it will have. This is evident from the chaos that ensued when the smartphone went for pre-order.

iPhone 8

As you already know, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus didn’t sell well, despite being great devices. iPhone 8 uses the same old design of iPhone 7 and iPhone 6 and doesn’t experiment a lot.

The poor sales record of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus gave Apple more leeway to position the iPhone X as its main device. They cleverly held back iPhone X only to launch it on a later date.

Here’s a photo of people lining up to outside an Apple Store to purchase iPhone 8.
