  • Google Pixel (Snapdragon 821, 4 GB RAM)
  • OnePlus 3T (Snapdragon 821, 6 GB RAM)

Firstly, several applications are opened and elapsed time is tested. iPhone beats every other smartphone in just 2 minutes 44 seconds.

Samsung Galaxy S8 comes a distant second with 5 minutes and 36 seconds while LG G6 completes the tasks in 5 minutes 59 seconds.

The second test involves opening the same set of applications. Again, the iPhone outshines every other phone in mere 33 seconds thanks to its with its excellent management of RAM.

In this case, the Galaxy S8 and LG G6 are far behind the iPhone.

In Geekbench 4 and AnTuTu’s performance tests, iPhone 7 plus still remains the undisputed leader while the Galaxy S8 comes second.

However, Galaxy S8 is performs better than iPhone 7 plus in multi-core tests. The reason being that Samsung’s flagship smartphone comes equipped with an octa-core processor that delivers better performance under certain conditions.

Who Wins?

As expected, the actual competitors in this test were iPhone 7 and Galaxy S8. Other devices were simply playing catch up as these behemoths battled it out.

Undoubtedly, iPhone 7 plus is the ultimate performer. It still is worth every penny after six months of release.

While the OnePlus 3T did not win in any speed test, it offers solid performance considering its the cheapest out of all these smartphones.
