Why did ipadkid.cf repo go down?
iPad kid’s Cydia repository went recently offline for 2 days due to a server-side error.
The ipadkid.cf Cydia repo never actually went “offline”. The developer switched over to Golang server from a Node.js server, which overcomplicated things.
Golang doesn’t support iOS’ handling of apt-get without some necessary changes. Therefore, iPad kid wrote a custom http.Handler wrapper specifically for his Cydia repository.
iPad kid also hosts Sinfool’s Cydia repository, which hosts a lot of Flex patches. Consequently, this repository went offline as well. This led to jailbreak users reporting about the downtime to the developer.
Fortunately, iPad kid fixed everything up in an instant and the repo came back online.
