Download iOS 12.1 Beta 2 without developer account

Apple has just seeded the second beta of iOS 12.1 to developers. Here’s how you can download this beta update on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod.

What’s new in iOS 12.1 Beta 2?

iOS 12.1 Developer Beta 2 weighs around 350-400 MB on all compatible devices. Its build number is 16B5068i.

Users can now use group calls in FaceTime, which users have been waiting for for a long time. Further, this update also brings 70 new emojis. All in all, the iOS 12.1 update adds support for eSIM, background blur, and the aforementioned improvements.

As far as bugs go, iOS 12.1 Beta 2 fixes the long press bug in the music module of Control Center on iPad. Earlier, the music module appeared down in the middle of the screen after the user long-pressed it to expand it.

Should you update?

This is a minor update and of course, doesn’t offer much of an improvement over its predecessors. If you are using Beta 1 or the stable public build of iOS 12.1, stay where you are and wait for the next update.

iPad users who are affected by the Control Center bug, however, should upgrade their tablets instantly.
