After just twenty-four hours of releasing the final version of iOS 12, Apple has seeded the first developer beta of its next iteration. Here’s how you can download and install iOS 12.1 Beta 1 on your account without a developer account.

What’s new in iOS 12.1 Beta 1?
iOS 12.1 Beta 1 is a minor update and doesn’t bring any new changes or improvements. Some users, however, report that this version brings back the Group FaceTime feature.
The build number of this update is 16B5059d and it weighs around 2.3-2.7GB on all compatible devices.
Since this is a developers-only update, only registered developers can access its OTA Profile and IPSW file.

Should you update?
As mentioned above, this is a minor update except for one change – Group FaceTime calls. If you can’t live without this feature, you should, by all means, upgrade your Apple device.
Just remember, don’t install this update if you plan to switch to iPhone XS or XS Max somewhere down the line. The reason being that there’s no IPSW package available for these smartphones.
So, should you decided to update, you will not be able to restore your old backup until Apple seeds the appropriate firmware files for these devices.
With that said, if you always start from scratch after you purchase a new iPhone, you can safely install this update.
