iOS 11.1 is the first major release of Apple’s mobile operating system since its release in September. Apple has rolled out three beta updates already and this is the fourth beta build.
The beta 4 version is a minor update. Just like its predecessors, it brings nothing new to the table except for performance improvements and bug fixes.
Registered developers can now download this update from Apple Developer Center. You can also upgrade your device with the right OTA configuration profile.
If you are not an Apple developer, you can use these links to download and install iOS 11.1 beta 4 without a developer account.
Yes, you should. All users who are using any version of iOS 11 can safely update to beta 4. The reason being there’s no jailbreak team working on exploiting it.
As far as iOS 10 users go, you should probably stay where you are. Saigon jailbreak was just released for iOS 10.2.1 and the developer will be updating it for other versions as well.
If you don’t want to upgrade just yet, you can wait for its public release. The public release will be happening a few days from as always.
