How installd OTA Patch Works
Saurik’s Cydia Extender utility, that comes bundled with Cydia Impactor, just works with paid developer accounts.
If you don’t have a paid developer account, it will not work for you. This is where installd OTA Patch comes in.
The installd OTA Patch Cydia tweak allows installd to perform over-the-air installation of IPA files/packages signed by free Apple developer accounts.
This is great news for those who don’t have access to a paid developer account.
In layman terms, you can simply “sign” applications on your device without having to use a Cydia Impactor or computer.
You can also take a look at its source code that is available on Github. It just changes a boolean value so it’s quite safe to use.
Before you install it, make sure Cydia Extender is up and running. Follow this tutorial to install Cydia Extender –
