Apple’s native backup tools are sufficient but fall short of a few important features such as extraction. Here’s an amazing tool called iMyFone D-Port Pro that lets you do just that.

How to extract and create backups with iMyFone D-Port Pro
Step 1 Launch the tool and connect your Apple device to your computer. It will instantly recognize it and display the “used” and “remaining” space on its front page.
Step 2 You can then select any of the various backup options present on the right side. For a full export, you can select individual data belonging to various supported apps present on your device.
Step 3 I will be backing up the WhatsApp data on my iPhone for demonstration purposes. Click on Back Up WhatsApp to save your WhatsApp data.
Step 3 Click on the Back Up button to start the backup process. Once the process starts, just wait and let it do its thing.
Step 4 Once it’s over, it will display a confirmation message as shown below.
Step 5 You can extract specific information from your backup. Simply click on Next to start accessing all your chats and messages directly from the software. All your attachments are also present in this section.
Step 6 If, for some reason, you end up losing your data or want to extract specific data from older backups, go to the Restore Backup to Device section.
Is this tool worth buying?
Yes, absolutely. It gets a glaring review from me based on four essential parameters mentioned below.
I believe the developers can improve its compatibility by adding Linux support considering a lot of iOS users use that operating system.
Apart from that, the price of the Windows version is just about right at $39.95 for a single device per year. However, if you want to use more devices with it, get the Family license that has a price tag of $49.95.
This version will allow you to use 2-3 devices for a lifetime.
All in all, it’s a great tool that can prove to be a lifesaver whether you are a novice or advanced user.
The free trial period lets you all features present in the full version so I definitely suggest giving it a try.
If you decide to give it a whirl, don’t forget to leave a comment detailing your experience with it below.

I am curious if I can use iMyFone D-Port Pro to import an iCloud backup from another iPhone and scan for a specific app and its version number.
Thanks!
This has nothing to do with the post but IF YOU ARE ON ELECTRA AND ARE IN A BOOT LOOP and there is no way for you to turn your device off or on, or to put it in DFU/Recovery mode, hold the sleep/wake button and volume down. The device will restart. You all are welcome!
Thanks for the tip, Garrett. I soon plan to do a tutorial on it.
49$ that’s a nope.
