Another day, another tweak. This new tweak aims to bring a very useful feature to those who have a broken Home button. Here’s how it works.
How iWantHome works
A lot of us own a device that has a faulty Home button. This problem is widespread especially on devices older than the iPhone 7. This happens because these devices come with a mechanical Home button that gets broken after a while.
This is where this new tweak comes in.
As its name suggests, iWantHome Cydia tweak replaces your Home button with a small black button that sits in the corner. It is developed by tweak developer ArtikusHG.
Here’s how it looks like in action.
Here’s a list of gestures you can perform with this new button.
- Single tap – Go to Home screen
- Double tap – Open app switcher
- Long press – Access menu with two buttons (Screenshot and Siri)
This functionality is also present in other tweaks such as Touchr, Domum, AssistiveTouch, etc. In my opinion, this is certainly a better alternative as it is totally free and easy to use.
Download iWantHome tweak
Considering a lot of jailbreakers are still using iPhone 6s and below, this tweak is a must-have. Highly recommended.
It is fully open source so you can make your own edits or take a look at how everything works.
iWantHome is available for download as a Debian package here. It is compatible with iOS 10.
Here are a few more jailbreak tweaks you might want to check out.
