What is Home Depot Jailbreak?
Home Depot is jailbreak tool that works on all 32-bit iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices running iOS 9.1-9.3.4.
This is great news for those who have not updated to the latest iOS 9.3.5 version. Unfortunately, it does not support iOS 9.3.5 and it still remains without a jailbreak.
Home Depot jailbreak includes Cydia, Substrate framework, and tfp0 as well as a bizarre “mixtape player”.This new version doesn’t require you to manually enter offsets. It handles that for you.
However, if you are using an older version, you can request offsets for your device in the comments below.
Before you proceed, make sure you learn the basic functionality of Cydia Impactor utility here. As always, don’t forget to create a full backup of your device.
Here’s the full list of devices supported by Home Depot iOS 9 jailbreak. If you are interested in this jailbreak, follow the tutorial below.

How to Re-Jailbreak your Device with Home Depot
Step 1 Launch Home Depot application from your home screen.
Step 2 Select “Enable Jailbreak”.
Step 3 Select “Use Provided Offsets” option to re-jailbreak your device. If you have used custom offsets, you must provide those offsets again.
Make sure you resign Home Depot jailbreak’s certificate every 7 days. To do this, simply sideload the MixtapPlayer IPA file with Cydia Impactor tool like you did above.
Home Depot tool is currently in beta stage so bugs and errors are expected.
- If Cydia Substrate does not work after rebooting, reinstall it in Cydia and then respring your device.
- On several occasions, Home Depot may not accept your offsets and respring without putting your device in the jailbroken state. In this case, retry a few times and it will eventually get working again.
Enjoy your iOS 8.4.1-9.3.4 Jailbreak!
Even though Home Depot came out a bit late, it is indispensable for those who have older devices. If you are on iOS 9, this gives you a great chance to jailbreak your device.

Hi Gian
Thanks for yo your reply. I have a few follow up questions.
1. Yes, but it may not be in jailbreak mode if you rebooted your device.
– Does it mean, after successful JB, everytime the phone is rebooted, we have to perform JB again?
2. Is your device in jailbreak mode (that is, did you run the app)? If it’s not, then Cydia will not open.
– You asked “Did you run the app?”. What is the app you are referring to?
3. Yes, the offsets seem to be right.
– Thanks for confirming
4. Yes, you can use another IPA file as some files don’t work on select devices.
– Can you suggest what other IPA files I can try? Can you point me to the link/s where I can download them?
I tried this method on iPhone 5s running iOS 9.2.1
First used MixtapePlayerRC3.ipa on Cydia impactor.
It created the Home Depot icon on the phone.
Tapping it brought up the screen tht said, Prepare for Jailbreak and then the Enable Jailbreak.
After this I got the message “Device not supported” Offsets not found for iPhone5,1 -iOS 9.2.1
So I selected ‘Specify Custom Offsets’ and provided the Custom offsets i copied from the other page. They are
0x317868
0x319fa0
0x1eb88
0xdd9dc
0x4033dc
0xca87c
0xdd9de
0xca5a8
0x455964
0x3f6444
0xca600
0x457264
0x98
After this, few things happened on the phone and it finished.
The Cydia app icon was created on the phone. But when I tap it, it just flashes for a second and goes back to home screen.
Nothing happens. Tried rebooting the phone. Again nothing happened when I tap Cydia.
So, I have the following question?
1. Since I am able to see the Cydia icon, does it mean the phone is now JBed?
2.Why is the Cydia not opening up?
3. Are the Custom offsets I used correct?
4. Is the MixtapPlayerRC2.ipa file I used the correct version for this phone and OS combo? Should I try a different .ipa file?
Please help, as I really need to JB this phone and keep it in JBed status even after reboots.

Hi Gian – thank you. I have some follow up questions.
1. Yes, but it may not be in jailbreak mode if you rebooted your device.
– Are you suggesting that, after successful JB, if the device is rebooted, JB will be lost and I have to JB again?
2. Is your device in jailbreak mode (that is, did you run the app)? If it’s not, then Cydia will not open.
You asked ‘Did you run the app?’ – which App are you referring to here?
3. Yes, the offsets seem to be right.
Thank you for confirming

Hello IOS Expert/Luca. You are doing a great job here. I can’t acknowledge you less and well done . Please I have a Cydia on my phone and it’s no more working how do I remove it so as to rejailbreak the phone following your steps above the iOS is 9.3.1
Hello, Lanre. Thanks for your kind words. You need to sideload the IPA again and it will begin working.
Thanks for getting back at me and I am so happy. Please can you give me the steps in how to side load the IPA again. I am new at this but I wanna get it right like others who have gotten theirs right via your help. Please don’t be stressed by my question. Thanks Luca. I will be waiting for your tutorial on how to go about this and how to make the jailbreak works permanently without stopping
Just install repeat the above procedure once more. That’s it. Once you run the app, Cydia will automatically open.

Hello, Lex. Your device is incompatible with this tool.
I succeeded as you told me. After resetting the parallels, a database error message appears
“Could not open file /var/lib/dpkg/status – open(2:No such file or directory)” , “The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened” If you press the Cydia button, no action is taken.
Hello, jun. Here’s a fix –
1. SSH into your iPhone.
2. Remove the file that tells Home Depot that Cydia is installed (it is present in the root). SSH command – “cd /; ls”
3. After removing it, do a reboot and then re-jailbreak.
How to SSH ?
Follow this tutorial – SSH access

Just use that option.
I am new to this. Can I jailbreak iPhone 5.1 ne486ll/1 (I think GSM, but newer version that allow T-Mobile and AT&T to work)? Would I just run the program or use custom offsets?
I have no idea how to use those offsets, can you explain in a simple way?
Anyway to jailbreak this phone so I don’t constantly have to re-sign?
Hello, stockjock. You can use the latest versions without any offsets. You will need to re-sign it every 7 days.
It worked, but I rebooted and how it’s down. Do I need to resign again? How do I do that?
Run the app again.
