FloatingDock – Get iOS 11 iPad dock on iPhone

Another day, another tweak. This new tweak aims to bring the iPad dock to iPhone. Download FloatingDock Cydia tweak for your iPhone below.

How FloatingDock works

For those of you who don’t remember, Apple introduced a “floating” dock for iPad models in iOS 11.

This dock was reserved exclusively for iPad and, needless to say, iPhone never received it. This is where this new tweak comes in.

FloatingDock Cydia tweak ports the stock iOS 11 iPad dock to iPhone. It is developed by tweak developer Kiran Patil.

Here’s how this tweak looks like in action.

It is fully compatible with NoctisXI Cydia tweak and looks absolutely stunning once you enable dark mode. NoctisXI takes care of the dock part without any intervention on the user’s part.

There are no Settings that require configuration. Just install this tweak and your dock will automatically begin floating.

You can, however, alter the color value of the dock and set a custom color if you don’t like the stock color.

This tweak is a great implementation of the stock iPad dock.

You won’t be able to tell the difference between your older and this new dock once you install it. It really is that good. Recommended.

FloatingDock is available for download on Kiran Patil’s Cydia repo (https://imkpatil.github.io/repo) for free. It is compatible with iOS 11.

Known issues and bugs

  • There’s a minor alignment issue, where the dock begins floating a bit too high and interferes with your apps. The tweak developer will hopefully release a fix. Until that happens, you can install NoPageDots11 from BigBoss repository.
  • Improper width values in iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus devices.
  • iPad gesture to show dock inside apps is not working. The developer is currently working on this feature.
