iOS 11.1 beta 2 set to bring new Emojis including the Hijab Emoji

Emojis are an indispensable part of Apple’s mobile operating system and hence iOS 11.1 beta 2 is all set to bring tons of new emojis. Here’s all you need to know about it.

New emojis coming in iOS 11.1 beta 2 update

All previous updates were released for fixing bugs and adding improvements and this is going to change with this new beta update. Just like iOS 10.1, iOS 11.1 will be the first major update that will actually bring new features.

One of these features is the addition of hundreds of new emojis to add to an already huge collection. There are approximately two hundred emojis in this new update.

Just as Apple reported, the new version will have emojis of grasshopper, giraffe, dinosaur, mermaid, vampire etc.

It will also bring the highly anticipated Hijab (headscarf) emoji, which is designed specifically for Muslim women.

Apart from these, several fruit ones such as coconut and sandwich will also be present in this new collection.

The new emojis are based on Unicode 10 along with the World emoji day. Once the new update is out of beta testing phase, Apple will also roll out them out for macOS and watchOS updates.

When is an iOS 10 port coming?

As far as jailbroken users are concerned, a new iOS 10 port for them will be coming very soon. Hopefully, a developer will be able to port them to iOS 10, 10.1.1, and 10.2 jailbreak.

If such a port doesn’t come, you will then have to update to enjoy these new emojis.
