downgA7ade – Downgrade iPhone 5s, iPad mini 2/Air to iOS 10.3.3

A lot of iOS 11 users want to go back to the stable iOS 10 firmware and rightfully so. Here’s a new tool called that downgA7ade automates the downgrade process to a great extent.

What is downgA7ade?

downgA7ade is a command-line utility that automatizes the A7 downgrade process. It is developed by the legacy developer, Hacks4Live.

For the uninitiated, devices with the Apple A7 processor can still go back to iOS 10 from iOS 11-11.1.2. The reason behind this is that the signing window of iOS 10.3.3 is still open for these devices.

The restore process is certainly not for beginners and this tool takes all the hassle out of it.

It’s very easy to use and signs and downloads all the necessary files literally at the click of a button.

Although downgrading works with all other iOS 10 versions, this tool only supports iOS 10.3.3. You can follow this tutorial to do that for other versions manually.

Compatibility

As of now, this tool works only with the following devices –

  • iPhone 5s (6,1 and 6,2 models)
  • iPad Air (incompatible)
  • iPad mini 2 (incompatible)

The developer intends to add support for other versions and devices in the future. Therefore, I recommend waiting for an update if you can’t seem to wrap your head around the manual method.

How to downgrade iPhone 5s and iPad mini 2/Air with downgA7ade

Step 1 Download and extract the ZIP archive above to any location on your computer.

Step 2 Connect your iPhone or iPad to your computer.

Step 3 Get hold of your SHSH Blob file with shsh2 extension and place it on your desktop. Rename it to blob.shsh2. Optionally, you can also download iOS 10.3.3 to your desktop and rename it to target.ipsw

Step 4 Run the .bat file to start the program.

Step 5 Once you launch downgA7ade, it will automatically search for the requisite IPSW firmware file. If that’s not present, it will download its own firmware downloader and allow you to grab the required version.

Step 6 Once it downloads the firmware file, it will begin downloading Cydia Impactor and NonceSet1112.

Step 7 downgA7ade will subsequently launch Impactor and sideload NonceSet1112 on your device. You can then set nonce using this tool by following this tutorial.

Step 8 Once the nonce is set and all other files are ready, can’t seem to wrap your head around tool will automatically start the restore.

I recommend this tool if you have SHSH Blobs for iOS 10.3.3 only. If that’s not the case, you must fall back to the manual method.
