Here we go again! Yet another fake iOS 10.3.3 jailbreak has surfaced online. Here’s what you should know before you download it.

What is Spring?
Spring is a new jailbreak that works for iOS 10.3.3, according to its developer. It is developed by a YouTube user, DevelopApple.
Here’s the video DevelopApple uploaded on YouTube.
Unlike other fake jailbreaks, the developer openly mentions the public exploits used in his jailbreak. Here’s the list of exploits that are used in this tool –
- ziVA
- Some code from Luca Todesco’s yalu102
- Other patches
He also claims to publish some new iOS 10.3.3 bugs soon, which obviously sounds very fishy to me.
Why on earth would anyone hand out exploits like candy for iOS 10.3.3, the most secure build of iOS 10 firmware?
3 Reasons why Spring Jailbreak is fake
ziVA compatibility
Adam Donenfeld’s ziVA exploit is compatible only up till iOS 10.3.1. The reason being Adam reported it to Apple and they promptly closed the security vulnerability in iOS 10.3.2.
Therefore, any tool claiming to use an iOS 10.3.1 exploit on iOS 10.3.3 firmware must be a fake.
Cydia
You will notice how Cydia is redownloaded after jailbreaking. This simply doesn’t happen in a semi-untethered jailbreak. Cydia is always there on your device.
I like to call it Spring 🌸 pic.twitter.com/KkIAtbPyTx

Moreover, the App Switcher clearly uses an older Cydia icon, which was present in iOS 6 and below.
Fake video
If you watch the video given above, you will notice there’s a cut in the recording at 00:49.
The uploader cleverly replaces the original device with another jailbroken device with Cydia on it and then launches it.
ETA WEN 10.3.3 Jailbreak
To be honest, we might never get a jailbreak for iOS 10.3.3. Even the top jailbreak development teams such as KeenLab and Team Pangu haven’t developed one yet.
At this point, the odds of iOS 11 being jailbroken are a lot higher than someone developing a jailbreak for iOS 10.3.3.
There are many fake tools floating around on the internet. As always, be sure to confirm and just don’t go about installing anything and everything you get your hands on!

its compiled g0blin code
but its in newer versions older are fake.
A lower firmware is always considered better from a jailbreaking viewpoint. So I recommend staying on iOS 10.3.3.
Jailbreaking 10.3.3 is not impossible and simple analysis regarding a video cannot be given as 100% legitimate proof as to whether or not a jailbreak is fake to keep in mind. The only real way to be 100% sure as to a programs legitimacy is to test or have widespread testing performed on the application itself, not by watching a video.
There are some odd bits in the video for sure, and it definitely could be a fake video, again for sure, but its not 100% till people start waving the red flag after its release, and if somehow it is real, there is no quicker way to kill development of an application than by spreading negative personal opinion about it.
The uploader has been uploading these videos since quite some time now. This is obviously not his first time.
I even had a conversation with this “jailbreak developer” and even wished him luck for his release. My motive is to inform users about fake tools not demotivate upcoming developers.
I understand and I’m not hating on you for the article per say. Just saying a person whos cried wolf 100 times still gets eaten at the end of the story yeah?
If he releases an app eventually, it will get torn apart if its a failure or doesnt work or do what it promises and then he will just never be trusted again. And if hes just releasing it to get attention I mean it wont make him any money on that front either.
I’m only worried with all the negative press I see regarding jailbreaking as a whole (Even Redmond Pie says things like “”IOS 11 IS HERE!! 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 jailbreaking is still in progress but come on just upgrade! Do itt! Youll definitely love the update more than jailbreaking!! What reason I mean come on what reason, omg lol haha what reason is there even to jailbreak you knowwwwwwww~?”” said in a cartman voice I’m assuming.
If I were making a jailbreak and on one hand apple was offering $200,000. It worked, but all the news sites talking about it constantly talked about how the next update was better, and everyone kept calling jailbreaking dead, got disrespect from the community, that people should just take the update, that the video I released was definitely a fake, would it be so wrong at that point to just take the money and run?
Nothing against you personally 🙂 Just general philosophical concepts regarding this topic as a whole.
