Here’s yet another fix for Yalu iOS 10 jailbreak tool. Many users have reported that Cydia wasn’t installed on their devices after jailbreak. Here’s a quick solution to this problem.
As you know, yalu jailbreak is in beta stage and riddled with problems. Cydia is still being updated for iOS 10, 10.1.1 and 10.2.So experiencing problems and errors is quite normal.
How to Fix Cydia not Installed after iOS 10 Jailbreak [Tutorial]
Step 1 Launch mach_portal OR yalu102 app to gain access to the root as well as SSH.
Step 2 Connect your iOS device to the same network as your computer.
Step 3 Go in the wireless settings on your iPhone and click the letter “i” located next to your connected wifi network, scroll down. It will be of the form 192.168.xx.xx (it’s a local ip, do not be afraid).
Step 4 On Mac –
Open your Terminal on Mac and use the following commands.
ssh [email protected] < enter the IP address of your device here
Alpine < this is the root password of your device
Rm /.installed_yaluX
On Windows, open your FTP software such as Putty –
- Open a new FTP or SSH connection
- Enter the IP adress of your iPhone
- Enter “alpine” as the password
- Choose Port 22
- Connect
- Write the following command
rm /.installed_yaluX
Step 5 Reboot your device.
Step 6 Start mach_portal OR yalu102.
Step 7 Cydia icon should now appear on your home screen.
Cydia Installer may crash at first. If it crashes, her’s what you need to do.
- Wait for 1-2 minutes
- Force reboot your device
- Open mach_portal OR yalu102 again.
That’s all there’s to it. If you face any problems, don’t forget to post your comments below.

Hello, Jess. Which “yalu reset” did you try?
yalu102 beta 7 is that what you mean?
I tried a few suggestions Ive read about with trying to reset the app again and pressing go but that didn’t work because it said that it was already jailbroken,, and eveeytime I go to launch Cydia in won’t open and just constantly crashes.
Try Blueyalu and reinstall Cydia using it. That will most likely fix your issue. Hope this helps.
I got you.
There is no place to put a password for me so I can’t enter alpine and every time I try to open the connection I get “Putty Fatal error, connection refused”.
Hello, Ethan. Is you device in jailbroken state? If it is, please check if you are able to telnet to port 22 with this command – telnet [device IP address] 22.

I lost all apple iPhone icons (settings, phone, email, etc.) after trying to update appsync unified repo in cydia. After Yalu jailbreak. Can anyone help me on what to do to get them back?
AppSync is not compatible with yalu. It is bound to cause errors. Unfortunately, there’s no way to get them back as far as I know.
