CoolBooter Now Supports iPhone 4S

As you know, developer Jonathan Seals pulled the plug on CoolBooter’s development a while back. However, it now seems he was just trolling as a new update is upon us.

The latest update brings it to version 1.0b10. It works with all devices that were compatible earlier and iPhone 4S.

Along with this, CoolBooter CLI (Command Line Installer) version has been updated as well. Its latest version is 0.6.

iOS 6 firmware is very stable on iPhone 4S. You can use this to dual-boot iOS 8 along with iOS 6. You can also downgrade iOS 8 to iOS 6 using Beehind or OdysseusOTA.

I would recommend you dual-boot 2 iOS versions just to stay on the safer side.

This can take a few tries to successfully install iOS 6. Keep trying if it doesn’t work on the first try. If you try it, be sure to leave a comment below.

It’s great to see legacy devices are not abandoned yet. Jailbreak developers are still working on tools and utilities for them.
